Introduction to Weihai - City Centre
Weihai is an historic, pretty coastal city in the east of China's Shandong Province. Though it was once of a similar stature to colonial outposts like Hong Kong, the city's great history and scenery have largely been lost to time in the decades since. Visitors can re-discover the picturesque delights of the city centre, which overlooks the Yellow Sea. The city is clustered around a pretty bay, with verdant islands lying in the distance. Beautiful scenery defines many local attractions, such as Liugong Island, Weihei Park and Huincuilou Park. Staying at Weihai City Centre hotels gives ideal access to shopping and city parks. Ferries from the nearby port go to local islands as well as distant ports like Incheon in South Korea. The main attraction, though, is the city's beaches, which are beautiful but can get very busy. The railway station takes about 20 minute to reach by car.
