Introduction to Tunxi, China
The old city of Tunxi is the urban district of Huangshan City in the south part of China's Anhui Province. Most people arriving here do so at the city's railway station. There are several guest houses and small hotels located near the railway station. The city is adjacent to the majestic Huangshan Mountain range. The range boasts many peaks, accessed by paths and cable car, and is a popular tourist draw. There are further choices of Tunxi hotels near the foot of the range with hostels near the principal peak, Mount Huang. Other choices are scattered around the environs of the city. The central ones provide convenient access to most famous attraction, a 700-year-old street, Lao Jie, lined with magnificent old buildings containing a plethora of shops. As well as the small family run hotels are several four and five star options.
