Introduction to Suzhou - Pingjiang
Suzhou could be regarded as one of China’s most beautiful cities. The city’s beauty lies in its many gardens, parks and waterways; the Classical Gardens of Suzhou have even been recognised by UNESCO. Many guests choose to stay in Suzhou hotels in Pingjiang district. This district is located a little south of the city’s train station, offering convenient lodgings for train travellers. This location is even more important, given that Suzhou doesn’t have its own airport. Most air travellers fly to the international airport in Shanghai, which is over an hour away. Sights in and around Pingjiang include the Humble Administrator’s Garden, Museum and Zoo. Sightseeing can be done by boat via the districts scenic canals for a new perspective on the city. Alternatively, visitors can simply stroll the water banks of an evening for a romantic walk through this beautiful part of the 'water city'.
