Introduction to Shaoxing, China
Shaoxing is an urban area in China’s Zhejiang Province. Shaoxing is on the south side of the Qiantang River. Hotels in Shaoxing are centred around the city centre, especially on Jiefang Road, and the business area. The city features numerous canals, ornate bridges, temples and parks, which give the city a certain charm. A further selection of Shaoxing hotels are scattered around the city. Shaoxing hotels are anything from two-star hotels to five-star luxury establishments. There are also a few basic Chinese style guest houses. Shaoxing is a prominent manufacturing centre. The ubiquitous rice wine originates in Shaoxing. A Shaoxing landmark is The Great Mercy (Dashan) Pagoda, a soaring multi-storey tower. Shaoxing boasts a number of other historical attractions such as the ornate Yu Wang Temple Complex. Boating on Shaoxing's picturesque East Lake (Donghu) is a popular activity for visitors and locals alike. Centrally based hotels offer easy access to these attractions and the city’ s retail shops and markets. Shaoxing Antique Market, on Jiefang Road, has myriad shops offering antiques and local handicrafts for sale. Bargains can sometimes be found on East Street’s night market.other spellings: shaoxing otel, zhaoxing hotell, hote shaoxig, shoaxing hotle
