Introduction to Qinhuangdao - City Centre
By far the greatest attraction for most visitors to Qinhuangdao city centre is the popular beaches of the region. Sightseeing around the centre of the city is not high on the list of most tourist itineraries here as there is relatively little in the way of the kinds of arts and cultural attractions found in many other Chinese cities. Qinhuangdao City Centre hotels are, however, in an excellent location for accessing shopping and nightlife as well as transport links. Explore the shopping of the local streets and you can expect to find some great bargains at prices lower than in Beijing. Beware of outdated fashions and shoddy knockoffs, however. The main harbour area of Haigang is right next door. The beach resort area of Beidaihe takes only half an hour to reach by road. Along the way, the kids will enjoy Qinhuangdao Zoo.
