Introduction to Panyu, China
Panyu is a district in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Panyu is about 20kms south of central Guangzhou. Panyu is spread across the Pearl River Delta. Until it was amalgamated with Guangzhou it was a city in its own right. Panyu hotels range in standard from two to five stars. There are also a few basic Chinese hotels in Panyu and the accommodations are spread around the centre with several close to Panyu’s principal tourist attractions. Attractions include Chime-Long Paradise Amusement Park and Panyu Xiangjiang Safari Park. There are also landscaped gardens, such as Yuyin Mount Gardens, featuring the ubiquitous pagoda and rock pools. Panyu has good shops, nightlife and restaurants. Panyu hotels provide a cheaper accommodation option than staying in a hotel in Guangzhou. Guangzou can be reached quite easily on public transport or by taxi.
