Introduction to Nanchang - Xihu
Nanchang is both the cultural and economic capital of China's province of Jianxi. The city's place in Chinese history was solidified in 1927, when the communist uprising started here. The Xihu region contains many of the best attractions for visitors. Many of the city's sinewy lakes and rivers dot the area, the most significant of which, the Yangtze River, is just a few minutes from Xihu hotels. For a break from the busy streets, head for Bu Xing Pedestrian Street, where you'll find trendy clothes shops and a huge variety of restaurants. Nearby Bayi Park sits right next to trendy Zongshen Road, a fashion shopper's paradise. The lovely tree-shaded park is a great place to relax, take a stroll or entertain kids in the amusement park. The city's main railway station is just a few minutes away, making it easy to get to other big cities or explore the region.
