- Introduction to Macau - Macau City
The Lou Lim Ioc Gardens is one of the most famous gardens in the city. They are well known for their big shady trees, bamboo groves and stunning lotus ponds. One of the highlights at the park is the bridge with nine turns. It was not built straight because local people believe that the evil spirits can easily move in straight lines but cannot pass curves and bends. Many locals congregate to listen to traditional Chinese music as well as exercising and generally relaxing. It is the perfect place to see a cross-section of the local population.
