Introduction to Hong Kong - Tsuen Wan
Tsuen Wan Bay in Hong Kong's Kowloon faces the island of Tsing Yi, from which it is divided by the Rambler Channel. Formerly a fishing town, the bay's main community today serves as a residential base with its MRT link and high-rise developments. Tsuen Wan hotels are convenient bases for visitors to the Sam Tung Uk Museum, which explores the area's heritage, and Discovery Park, one of the region's biggest malls. Dozens of other malls complement this huge shopping center, including Tsuen Wan Shopping Plaza. The bay's public transport links to Tsim Sha Tsui and Wan Chai, among other popular tourist spots, make it a suitable base for visitors to Hong Kong who don't want to pay the accommodation prices associated with more centrally-located hotels. Tsuen Wan also has the advantage of being just a stone's throw from some of Kowloon's best natural areas, including Shing Mun Country Park and Kam Shan Country Park. Visit our Hong Kong Travel Guide
