Introduction to Guilin - Yangshuo
A unique mountainous karst landscape surrounds the Chinese municipality of Guilin Yangshou, which is situated about 65kms southeast of the much larger city of Guilin, in the country’s southern Guangxi province. Yangshou may be a fairly small city, but there are a large number of Guilin hotels here because of the equally large numbers of tourists from both inside and outside of China who visit the city each year. Visitors can find shops, restaurants, and outdoor activities in abundance here. There are more than 300 rock climbing routes in this county, and most visitors have no trouble finding climbing partners. Exploring both water caves and limestone caves where the land is dry, fishing for cormorants, cycling through the surrounding countryside, and Yulong River excursions inside bamboo rafts are just a few more vigorous activities the city has to offer.
