Introduction to Fuzhou - Gulou
Fuzhou is an old port settlement that today boasts an important industrial culture for southern China. It contains five main districts, with Fuzhou Gulou being one of the oldest and most important communes in the area. Hotels in Fuzhou Gulou usually cater for travellers staying for several or more nights. The district is close to a host of interesting, dynamic, and sometimes inspiring attractions, with some of these including Wuyi Square, the Fujian Grand Theatre, and the Fuzhou Confucius Temple. There are also several historical streets located throughout the district of Gulou, which are always interesting to visit for their electronic and handicraft displays. West Lake Park is a fantastic getaway from the surrounding hustle and bustle of the encompassing, non-stop city. It is found in the northwestern area of the district. Getting to the district is reasonably easy, as the main train station serving the city is only four kilometres away.
