Introduction to Chengdu - Wuhou
Wuhou is a district of Chengdu in south-central China's Sichuan Province. Of Chengdu's five internal districts, Wuhou is the largest and richest. The historic Wuhou Temple and cultural Jinli Street are two highlights here. Chengdu Wuhouci Museum is a great repository for relics of the Three Kingdoms culture. On the site is a temple that dates to 223 AD. Shady cypresses grace the area with beauty. Downtown Chengdu is more livable for the presence here of Wangjiang Tower Park, which has more than 100 kinds of bamboo. The Xue Tao Well, Huanjian Pavillion and Zhuojin Tower add stately charm to the verdant area. Wuhou district's Qingshui River Park is splendidly situated along Qingshui River. There's a children's zone, areas for exercise, plus an attractive main gate. The park overflows with gingko as well as hibiscus mutabilis, the city flower.
