Introduction to Baishan, China
In the province of Jilin, eastern China, is the city of Baishan. Jilin shares its southern border with North Korea, and contains some famous sights and historical areas, such as Baekdu Mountain and the Goguryeo tombs. Hotels in Baishan are spread throughout the city, with top choices on the river banks and in the city centre, close to shopping facilities, restaurants and bars as well as to the city’s parks and squares, including Hope Culture Square. The city centre is quite small, so most tourist attractions are close to each other - within walking distance or a short taxi ride. It is best to time your visit with one of the spectacular seasonal festivals such as the springtime Wild Flowers Festival or the wintertime Ice and Snow Festival. The highlight of a visit, however, is usually taking in the natural attraction that surround the city, such as Changbai Mountain National Nature Reserve, Jinjiang Grand Canyon and Xianren Cave.
