Introduction to Valdivia, Chile
Valdivia is part of the southern regions of Chile. It is just inland, about twenty minutes drive to beach towns like Niebla and Corral. Hotels here do a roaring trade during the annual Valdivian Week celebrations or at any time of the academic year when any of the several universities stage conferences, meetings or events. Tourism is a big industry here and so there are plenty of retailers, tour operators and hotels in Valdivia.
