Introduction to Yarmouth, Canada
Aptly known as the Gateway to Nova Scotia, Yarmouth was originally a fishing town and marine port located on the Gulf of Maine in Nova Scotia, Canada. Yarmouth hotels are often atmospheric and family run affairs built out of wood and reeking of the scents and style of the fishing world. Other hotels in Yarmouth are more upmarket but students and backpackers are very well catered for with a great range of dormitories and bunk accommodations some of which were originally built and occupied by sailors and fishermen. These places have been refurbished and renovated so that they now include conveniences such as wireless internet and cable TV. Yarmouth hotels usually highlight aspects such as the exposed beams and other architectural features of buildings in the town. This is a wonderfully historic and rustic town with a strong fishing heritage that offers visitors a great mix of style, atmosphere and modern conveniences.
