Introduction to Trois-Rivieres - City Centre

Located between Quebec City and Montreal, Trois-Rivieres is considered to be one of Quebec's oldest cities. In fact, it is seen as a convenient stopping-off point for those travelling between the two bigger cities on route 40. Buses from the two cities depart around every two hours, courtesy of Orleans Express. On arrival, STTR buses allow travellers to get around the city, but many of the most interesting places can be reached on foot. Trois-Rivieres City Centre hotels are useful for visitors who intend to visit the Quebec Museum of Folk Culture, which has six distinct exhibitions, all with a typical local flavour. Nearby, visitors can explore the Old Prison, courtesy of ex-inmates who now operate guided tours.
