Introduction to Toronto - North York
Toronto is a major North American city that boasts an extremely large metropolitan area. In 1997, the city increased its overall size by establishing a mega city, which incorporated many surrounding townships, including North York. North York can literally be regarded as a 'city within a city' as it is mostly self-sufficient. It is found in the northern central region of Ontario's capital city and hosts more than half a million residents. North York hotels are available close to all the main attractions. One of the most interesting and most visited sites in the city is Black Creek Pioneer Village, where visitors can be time-warped back to the early days of Ontario. It's a great location for families and indeed touring couples. The Toronto Botanical Gardens can also be found in the town, while science fanatics will be pleased to know that the Toronto Aerospace Museum is also situated here.
