Introduction to Toronto - Missisauga
Mississauga is part of the Toronto metropolitan area and has a population of just under three quarters of a million people. It is a boomtown with the fastest population growth in Canada from the 1980s to the 1990s and it continues to enjoy expansion into the present day. It is a vibrant mutli-ethnic city that is home to large communities that trace roots back to India, China, the Philipines and South Korea. Mississauga hotels were built in abundance during the major growth period and so as a result there is no shortage of medium range motels in the city that cater to visiting families with simple accomodation expectations. The general consensus is that people seeking deluxe and five star accommodations are likely to stay in such places in Toronto. Hotels in Mississauga are not downmarket but rather, family oriented and straightforward. Some Mississauga hotels take the form of backpacker and student dormitories.Visit our Toronto Travel Guide
