Introduction to Toronto - Georgian Bay
The township of Georgian Bay is a watery wonderland boasting plenty of fun-filled experiences along the banks of the Severn River and the Bay of Georgian. Most Georgian Bay hotels are cottages located around the many islands and waterfronts of the township. The town is usually littered with tourists during the summer months, as it provides the perfect summer escape for Canadian citizens after a long cold winter. It is located in the Muskoka region of central Canada, only a few kilometres to the west of the Trans-Canada Highway. When it comes to landmark attractions, there aren't many in Georgian Bay to choose from. However, tourists are kept busy with abundant activities, including water activities in the town and at Potters Landing, another settlement situated directly north. Gloucester Pool is a popular lake in the township. To the southeast is Gibson River Provincial Park, which is a wetland reserve boasting various turtle and snake species, and other wild animals.
