Sept-Iles (French for seven islands) is Quebec’s most northerly town. Further north is too cold and wild for people to live comfortably other than the native Cree, Inuit and Innu. It is on the Gulf De Saint Lawrence, on its northern shore. There are not many hotels in Sept-Iles, as it is not a town that is frequently visited by tourists. On the shore of Gulf De Saint Lawrence, there are a few nice Sept-Iles hotels, generally with three star ratings and family friendly. These are privately owned, quiet and full of character, with grand views over the Gulf. Boulevard Laure has a few Sept-Iles hotels with more facilities, and are slightly more luxurious. These are ideal for those on business or those who like to splash their cash a little. For those who are on a strict budget, or who have to wait overnight for a flight, there are a few motels available at very low prices.
