Introduction to Revelstoke, Canada

Revelstoke is a small town nestled in mountains on the banks of the Columbia River in western Canada's province of British Columbia. It is a hub for outdoor activities and boasts heritage attractions, fine dining and a choice of pubs. Most of the hotels in Revelstoke's town centre are in the environs of First Street West, which runs parallel to the river through the heart of the town. The town's eclectic eateries, sports equipment shops and speciality shops, and the famed Railway Museum are within walking range of the central establishments. This museum, one of several in the town, contains preserved steam engines and exhibits themed around railway history. Revelstoke Golf Club is north of the area, on the riverside. The properties are an ideal base for reaching Mt Revelstoke National Park and Glacier National Park. Both parks offer hiking trails through magnificent forest and mountain ranges, and, in winter, skiing. Halcyon Hot Springs is south of the region and offers rejuvenating waters.
