Introduction to Quebec - Tadoussac
The village of Tadoussac, is very small, yet is the oldest French settlement on the continent. It is located in the predominantly French-speaking province of Quebec in Canada, and overlooks the point where the Saint Lawrence and Saguenay Rivers meet. There is a surprisingly large number of hotels in Tadoussac, as it is a very small sleepy town with not much else in the way of tourist facilities. There are mainly motels here, which are the cheapest of the Tadoussac hotels, with basic facilities, but are still comfortable and clean. These are located on the road into the village, and also in various locations around the village centre. The other Tadoussac hotels are not luxurious, but generally have three stars, and are of better quality than the motels and have more character than chain hotels. These are usually family-run by people who have lived in the area for all of their lives, often with ancestors among its first settlers.Visit our Quebec Travel Guide
