Introduction to Quebec, Canada
Quebec is located on the north shore of the St Lawrence River in southeast Canada's Quebec Province. It is dating from the 1600s is one of the country's oldest cities. The city features an attractive skyline backed by the northern Laurentian Mountains. The region is packed with architectural gems, museums, city parks, shops and restaurants. Quebec hotels are one of a number of accommodation options that offer services to the city's countless annual visitors. Many of the establishments are in the central district near the stately, turreted railway station, Gare du Palais, and the enchanting Chateau Frontenac. Nearby, Quebec Citadel, part of the old city walls, is an active base and can only be visited on a guided tour. Choco-Musee Erico is a little further on. The properties provide a convenient base for cruises on the St Lawrence or, in winter, going skiing at Mont Sainte Anne and Station Touristique Stoneham. These two resorts offer hiking trails and cycling in summer.Visit our Quebec Travel Guide
