The city of Peterborough is on the River Otonabee in southeast Canada’s Ontario Province. The Otonabee as it passes through Peterborough falls over a series of rapids. Peterborough is in the Kawartha Lakes district, around 50kms north of Lake Ontario’s shores. There is a good choice of hotels in Peterborough. A central grouping of Peterborough hotels is sited on George Street which runs parallel to the river. Attractions such as Peterborough Centennial Museum, Del Crary Park, and Riverview Park and Zoo are all close to George Street. The museum boasts eclectic collections of artefacts.
