The bulk of the population of Moose Jaw are retirees and they are colloquially known as Moose Javians. Moose Jaw is a city in Saskatchewan in Canada. A unique feature here are the Tunnels of Moose Jaw. In older times, the buildings of Moose Jaw were powered by steam and the operators of the steam engines moved around town and from building to building in an elaborate set of undergound tunnels that prevented them from being exposed to the ferocious winter cold. Though no Moose Jaw hotels are built in the tunnels, there are a number of tour groups and regular excursions that offer glimpses into this fascinating slice of subterranean Canadian life. Hotels in Moose Jaw are laid back and medium range outfits and there are a number of quality campsites and campgrounds that are on the outskirts of town and popular in summer.
