Introduction to Montreal - Laval
Laval is a city on the northwestern outskirts of Montreal, Canada. Made up from 14 different municipalities, the city has few attractions which will interest tourists. However, Laval hotels tend to be much cheaper than those in Montreal, while offering easy access to the city's tourist attractions. The city's large shopping centres, such as Carrefour Laval, offer much cheaper shopping options than such malls in Montreal. Other places worth visiting are the Cosmodome space museum and the Recreatheque, an indoor amusement park. It's much easier to get here from Montreal since the completion of the subway train extension. Travellers can take the Orange Line to one of three stations in the city, but its well worth avoiding travel during the morning rush-hour if at all possible. Travellers with their own vehicle can also get here by taking Autoroute 15, which splits the city in two.
