Montebello hotels all try to emulate the largest log building ever built with wooden walls and roofs, but there is only one Chateau Montebello Resort. That enormous resort has hosted NATO and G8 conferences and is an outstanding example of a Canadian log cabin style ski resort, only on an enormous scale. Hotels in Montebello cater mainly to the winter ski and snow season. Visitors travel here from Canada, North America and all over the world to snowboard, ski and go hiking and trekking. The cafe and restaurant scene in town is superb, also. Montebello hotels often have dining options on the premises and the quality and cuisine of these places varies markedly from place to place. During the peak ski season rooms in Montebello can be hard to secure without an advance booking since many guests return here annually and renew their reservations for the next season before they leave each year.
