Introduction to Kingston - City Centre
Situated between the large Canadian cities of Montreal and Toronto, the town of Kingston is found in the province of Ontario, overlooking the beautiful St Lawrence River. The city is also located on the north shore of Lake Ontario, where the St Lawrence River meets the lake. It was the original capital for provincial Canada back in the 1840s, but has since been stripped of this title. Kingston City Centre hotels are found throughout the city's heart. There are some interesting sites to experience when travelling through Kingston. The city is often referred to as Ontario's 'Limestone City' as there are many limestone structures dotting the streets. Queen's University, which is regarded by many as Canada's premier higher learning institution, is home to many of these limestone structures. Other popular sites worth visiting include the city's churches, such as St Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral and St George's Anglican Church. The heart of the city is very accessible on foot or by bicycle; driving is not required. other spellings: kingston otel, kingston hotell, kingston hote, kingston hotles, kingston hotle, kingstonq
