Fernie is a city in south western Canada. It is north of the country’ s border with the US State of Montana. Fernie is sited in the Elk Valley on one of Canada’s main east-west motorways, Highway 3. At Crowsnest Pass, 40kms eastwards from Fernie, the road crosses the famed Rocky Mountains. There are a number of hotels in Fernie that offer services to the many skiers that arrive in the district during the winter months.
