Introduction to Rousse, Bulgaria
Rousse, also spelt Ruse, is in Bulgaria, on the south side of the River Danube. Giurgiu, in Romania, is on the opposite bank of the fabled river. It boasts a busy port, wonderful Baroque and Rococo style buildings and many museums and restaurants.
