Introduction to Pamporovo - Ski Area
Pampovoro is a beautiful town in the Rhodope Mountains of Bulgaria, southeastern Europe. It is well known for its ski area, which is the main attraction of the town. Many Pampovoro hotels overlook the ski slopes. The summit of Mount Snejanke offers a tower from which to enjoy spectacular views that can stretch to as far as the Greek coast. Yet the main draw of the mountain is its slopes, which are open for skiing during daytime hours in the ski season. Night skiing is sometimes available if conditions are right. Restaurants at the resort offer all types of international fare yet perhaps the most interesting dining experience available here is the Bulgarian folk feast. Diners at one of these feasts can expect lamb roasted on a spit along with authentic Bulgarian dance and music.
