Introduction to Burgas - Elenite
Elenite is one of the modern Black Sea seaside resorts in east Bulgaria. It is a part of Burgas Province and situated just along the coast from Slunchev Bryag. The resort is on a sheltered bay which is fronted by a long stretch of pristine sands that have garnered a blue flag award. The seas are great for swimming and water sports such as sailing and windsurfing. There is a water park at the resort. Land based activities here include tennis, horseback riding and tours to the nearby Blue Mountains. The Elenite hotels options are mostly sited on hills rising above the bay. There are a number of restaurants and bars here. Resort venues offer entertainment, with dance shows and theme evenings two of the favourites. Walking around the resort is pleasant as it features lush vegetation. Ancient Nessabar is on the opposite side of the bay from Elenite and features old city walls and defence towers, wooden houses and abundant old churches such as the 13th century Christ Pantocrator Church.Visit our Burgas Travel Guide
