Introduction to Sao Paulo - Itaim Bibi
Itaim Bibi is a district of the beautiful Brazilian city of Sao Paulo. Located pretty much in the centre of Sao Paulo, the largest city in Brazil, Itaim Bibi is a relatively quiet neighborhood. Itaim Bibi hotels are clustered on either side of Dos Bandeirantes Avenue, the main thoroughfare of the city. The main shopping streets are Joao Cachoeira and Brig. Faria Garia Lima Avenue, where visitors will find trendy shops, restaurants and cafes. Exploring this part of the city on foot is doable and a great way to enjoy the many colonial buildings lining the streets. Great family outings include Aqua Branca Park and Ibirapuera Park. Visitors can use the district as a base from which to explore the rest of Sao Paulo. Sao Paulo Cathedral and its adjacent square are stunning. For something unusual, head to the Museum of Portuguese Language - many people forget that the official language of Brazil is Portuguese, not Spanish. Visit our Sao Paulo Travel Guide
