Introduction to Sao Paulo - Brooklin
Sao Paulo's financial centre, and indeed the financial centre of all of Latin America, Brooklin is crammed with soaring skyscrapers and other marks of affluence. This safe downtown district in the south of the city is largely made up of offices. Its busiest streets, including Paulista Avenue, Faria Lima and Avenida Brigadeiro, harbour many Brooklin hotels. Among the most impressive of the area's modern buildings are Company Business Towers and Torre Norte. Paulista Avenue stretches for nearly three kilometres and is the hub of the district. This is where visitors come to shop and admire world class art at the Sao Paulo Museum of Art, or MASP. This renowned Brazilian art gallery is home to works by prominent artists like Picasso and Renoir. The museum's modern building is an attraction in its own right. Outside of the museum an antique fair known as the Feira de Antiguidade is held each Sunday. Metro Line 2 serves the avenue, as do various buses. Visit our Sao Paulo Travel Guide
