Introduction to Sao Paulo - Airport
Sao Paulo/Guarulhos-Governor Andre Franco Montoro International Airport serves the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo. This two-terminal facility comprises Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, which are further divided into sections 1A, 1B, 2C and 2D. This is Brazil's busiest airport by passenger traffic, with the facility having handled nearly 27 million passengers in 2010. Among the airlines serving the airport are Air Canada, British Airways and Emirates. Flights arrive from and depart for cities across the globe including Miami, London, Lima and Istanbul. Sao Paulo Airport is located in Guarulhos's Cumbica district, 15 miles from downtown Sao Paulo. There are a number of Sao Paulo Airport hotels situated nearby that cater to passengers with early or late flights. Alternatively, new arrivals can make their way downtown using the Airport Bus Service, which connects with Congonhas-Sao Paulo Airport, Tatuape Metro Station and Tiete Bus Terminal among other destinations. Additionally, taxis are available outside both terminals at the Baggage Claim exits. Visit our Sao Paulo Travel Guide
