Introduction to Natal - Ponta Negra Beach
The little town of Ponta Negra in Brazil's Natal Province is nowadays a favourite tourist destination for its beautiful four-kilometre long beach, with its first two kilometres now almost fully developed with bars, eateries, souvenir shops and little art galleries, and Ponta Negra Beach hotels backing its golden sands and azure waters. The northern reaches of the beach are less developed, with a few food kiosks, giving the visitor a choice of lively or peaceful surroundings. The beach itself is set on a gently curving bay, with stark cliffs at each end and mountains looming in the far distance.
