Introduction to Jericoacoara, Brazil
Jericoacoara is a village and seaside resort on Brazil's northeast coast. It boasts wonderful beaches and an opportunity of seeing that elusive perfect sunset. Although the area is in an isolated position and can only be reached on unpaved roads, the journey is well worth the end result. There are numerous Jericoacoara hotels and restaurants that offer visitors a comfortable stay. As the precinct is not large all the accommodations are grouped together near the village beach. Handicraft shops, restaurants and local barracas are all within walking distance of the properties. Jericoacoara's restaurants offer both international and local cuisine. Barracas are local bar-cafes that serve snacks and refreshments, and double as nightlife venues. The Arched Rock (Pedra Furada) is its signature landmark. In July and August the sun sets in the middle of the arch providing an unbeatable scene, best viewed from the Por-do-Sol sand dune. The boundary offers some of the best surfing in the country. Kitesurfing is available on some of the beaches outside the resort.other spellings: jericoacoarahotels, jericocora otel, jericacoara hotell, jerecacoara hote
