Things to do in Bermuda
Hamilton Parish - wander around the Blue Hole Park
The most amazing thing about the Blue Hole Park is that it was once used as a rubbish dump up until the mid 1970s. It has subsequently been cleaned up and restored to its original state as a beautiful mangrove pond. There is a trail all around the pond with a number of trails going off the main area offering lots of opportunities to go bird watching. The whole park is made up of sub-tropical vegetation around a flooded limestone cave known as the Causeway Cave.Paget - see artworks in the Museum of Bermuda Art
Much of the artwork that you can find in the Museum of Bermuda Art depicts scenes from around the island. Some of these are superb landscapes whilst others are of local festivals or inhabitants of the island. If you are visiting on the first Saturday of the month try to arrive around 11am to take advantage of the tour that is arranged by the founder of masterworks. There are frequently visiting exhibitions and showings from private collections so look out for these.Paget - walk along the famous, sandy Elbow Beach
Probably the most popular and certainly the most famous of the beaches in Bermuda Elbow Beach is just south of the capital Hamilton. Miles of beautiful white sand make it a popular place for both locals and tourists alike and a reason why it was chosen by the producers of “The Sopranos”. Situated on the south coast the beach is also the home to the famous Elbow Beach Hotel.Pembroke Parish - try cliff diving at the Admiralty House Park
Just south of Hamilton is the beautiful Admiralty House Park which once also housed the naval hospital which has now gone but still remaining are a series of tunnels that can be explored in the limestone cliffs. Locals frequently dive or jump from the cliff tops into the clear waters below. Be sure to check for rocks below the water before you jump if you want to join in this escapade.Introduction to Bermuda
