Essential Info for Belize
Safety

Crime against tourists is relatively low in Belize, especially violent crime. Follow the same rules that you would at home, keep an eye on your possessions at all times, don’t walk down unlit streets at night and only take licensed taxis. Watch out for pickpockets in main tourist areas and around Belize City.
When to go

The best time to visit Belize is between December and April as the temperatures are cooler and there is less humidity. The mountains are always cooler than the rest of the country, particularly in the evenings. The beach areas enjoy tropical breezes but the weather do;es get very hot and humid from June until December. Note that Belize is on the hurricane belt. The hurricane season runs from August to October.
