The Van Belle hotel Brussels is situated around a 15 minute walk from Gare Midi (South) Railway Station which is the terminal for the Eurostar and Thalys. It is in a slightly run down district and is a 5 minute walk from Clemenceau Metro Station and around a 15 - 20 minute to the impressive, Grand Place and its shops and restaurants. Guestrooms of the hotel vary in size, but in general they are a reasonable size and are a little dated and tired looking. The unfussy, budget Van Belle Hotel Brussels has limited facilities but does have a restaurant, a meeting room and has chargeable wireless internet access available in most public areas of the property.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor and offers very good international cuisine. The chef is a member of the family who owns and manages the hotel.

The lobby is small and like the rest of the hotel, is fairly old fashioned. However, it has a wonderful stone floor, dark red carpets and leather sofas, and leads to the bar and restaurant. There is also a little alcove with more seating and a very welcome working fireplace.

This hotel has a fairly modern exterior, although the hotel was built at the turn of the 19th century.
