Weather in Manama
Make sure to keep out of the midday sun and drink water regularly. Protective headgear, sunglasses and loose fitting, light long-sleeve garments should be considered a priority.
Most tourists sensibly choose to come to Manama between October and March when temperatures drop considerably. The little rain that does hit Bahrain almost always falls during this period, particularly in December and January.
Bahrain’s weather is mostly determined by Saudi Arabia to the west and Iran to the east given that it lies equidistant between the two in the Persian Gulf, which is also an influencing factor. Only when cold winds blow in from Iran during the cooler months of December and January do temperatures become chilly, a rare occurrence in Manama.
