Introduction to Tosens, Austria
Tosens is a tiny village of 700 people in the far east of Austria's Tyrol region. The village is nine miles south of Landeck, a regional transport hub which serves national buses and international trains. These services stop at Landeck-Zams Railway Station. The village's main income comes from tourism, but it prefers to exist as a niche destination rather than somewhere that caters to mass tourism. In this case, Tosens hotels are most suitable for visitors looking for a peaceful and laid-back break. Typical guests include those on motorcycle tours of the Italy, Switzerland and Austria tri-border region. In addition, it is a popular base with hikers exploring the nearby countryside. During the summer months, guests can sunbathe on one of the village's sun terraces against the backdrop of the snow-capped Alps. There are few historical attractions in the village, but the Hl. Laurentius church, built in the early 1700s, might be worth a quick look. The nearest skiing is at Samnaun, just 18 miles west of Tosens, on the other side of the Swiss border. other spellings: tosenshotels, otelin tosems, tosesn hotell, tosnes hote, toesns hotes, tsoens, otsens
