Saalfelden is an Austrian town in the state of Salzburg with around 16,000 residents. The town is a popular destination with outdoors enthusiasts, who come to enjoy leisure activities in the surrounding areas. In summer, Ritzensee Lake is popular with swimmers, while wintertime sees it filled with young ice-skaters. In addition, trails and paths through Kollingwald Forest are used for cross-country skiing during the winter months.
