Introduction to Mondsee, Austria
Known for its intense natural beauty, the charming town of Mondsee can be found in the northwestern corner of Austria. This is a popular destination with those who want a place to use as a base while fishing in Mondsee Lake. Perhaps the most famous attraction here is a small church that was used in the wedding scene of the popular musical film The Sound of Music. At the centre of the town is its iconic lake.
