Introduction to Mieders, Austria
The small town of Mieders is located in the district of Innsbruck-Land, in the far western region of Austria. Like many villages throughout Austria, this town is yet another established ski resort settlement. It is situated upon the Stubaital, which connects the township to the E45, a large highway running through the state of Tyrol. From the town, the municipality of Schonberg is only two kilometres to the northeast. The most convenient way of getting to Mieders is via bus or car as the town is close to the major highways of the region. There is a train station at Telfes im Stubaital, which is only two kilometres to the southeast of town. Mieders hotels number about half a dozen, and are within minutes of the area's main ski fields. Most tourists who enter the town come for the skiing. However, the town itself is quite picturesque and cosy so guests will surely enjoy spending time lazing around the cafes in the centre of town.
