Introduction to Linz, Austria
The arts and music scenes feature highly in Linz, Austria’s third biggest city. When staying in one of the Linz hotels guests can go see one of the fantastic musical events held in the Brucknerhaus concert hall. A short walk from here is the Lentos Art Museum on the banks of the River Danube. This is a contemporary art gallery with displays of art through the past 100 years. The Danube runs through the city and many of the finer hotels in Linz offer stunning river views. Other places of interest in Linz include the commemorative Plague Column in the main square, the castle once occupied by Friedrich III, Saint Martin’s Church the oldest in Austria and the Roman Catholic St Mary’s Cathedral. There is a big choice of hotels in Linz so it is worth shopping around for a bargain when booking as many offer discounts at various times throughout the year.other spellings: linzhotels, lins hotell, lin hotles, otel linz, lins hote
