Introduction to Lienz, Austria
The medieval town of Lienz in Austria's Tyrol is a beautiful place that features a whole host of great attractions for visitors. Bruck Castle sits on a hill overlooking the town. It was built in the 13th century in the Gothic style. The rooms inside are beautifully decorated and the castle is now a museum which has a large collection of works by the painter Albin Egger-Lienz. It has all the original frescos, and the Knights' Hall is an impressive sight. There are spectacular views over the town from the castle, and it is also possible to see the beautiful Dolomite Mountains. There are plenty of Lienz hotels in the city which are priced to suit all budgets. The Old Town is a great area to stay in as it is close to the city's main attractions. There are also excellent restaurants in the area serving local and international dishes. Every August, the town holds the Lienz Old Town Festival. The festival has traditional music and local arts and crafts on display in the streets. During this event, there is a huge parade though the streets of the old town with 2,500 people playing music.other spellings: leinshotels, otelin riens, reins hotell, liens hote, lens hotes, lens, liems, liezn
