Introduction to Lech, Austria
Nestled among the mountains of Austria's westernmost state of Vorarlberg, the mountain township of Lech is a beautiful village boasting some of the most attractive ski fields and scenic lookouts in the region. About 1,300 residents live in this town, but many more people make their way to the village each year to experience its wondrous ski slopes. It is one of the most popular ski resorts in Austria as many royal family members from across the globe as well as famous celebrities frequent the village. It is part of the Arlberg ski area, which also incorporates other popular towns surrounding Lech. Visitors can find many expensive and some not-so-expensive Lech hotels. However, in general, the town is not a cheap holiday destination. Away from the slopes, there are several interesting attractions of great sightseeing value. The Church of St Nicholas is found in the village centre and was built in the mid-1500s. Another wonderful landmark is Huber House, which is now a museum displaying historic cultural features of the region.other spellings: lechhotels, lehc otel, lehc hotell, lech hote, hotelin lech, lesh otel austria
