Lannach is located in the Deutshlandsberg district of Styria, with a population of around 3,500 people. It is around 25 minutes' drive south of Graz, the capital of Styria. More importantly, it is just 15 minutes southeast of Graz International Airport. Few visitors make it here, but arriving passengers at the airport are among those who tend to stay at Lannach hotels. Lannach is just minutes from the Sud Autobahn (A2), which means that travellers heading to onward destinations can stay here, thus avoiding the transfer to Graz for an overnight stay. To the southwest, the A2 allows travellers to reach Worthersee destinations such as Klagenfurt, near the famous lake. After the lake, those travelling along the A2 will eventually reach the Italian border. To the northeast, the A2 stretches as far as the Austrian capital, Vienna. Guests staying here also have easy access to Schwarzl Freizeit Zentrum. This indoor arena with a capacity of 5,000 people is located by the airport and often hosts high-profile concerts and sporting events.
