Introduction to Krems, Austria
Also known as Krems an der Donau, the charming riverside town of Krems can be found in the Wachau valley of Austria. This has long been a popular destination with those who enjoy hiking and multiday trekking tours. Many of the leading hotels in Krems arrange special nature tours of the area for their guests, offer bike hire and a wide range of other equipment and recreational activities. In addition to its intense natural beauty, Krems is known for its wine production. Visitors can take a tour on their own of the area’s wineries to sample a glass or two of the local tipple or go with one of the town’s organised wine tours for a full day’s outing. Other attractions in the city that should not be missed include the Weinstadmuseum, Filmgalarie, Karikatur Museum and Kunsthalle, which regularly hosts art exhibitions. In the town centre, visitors will find a complete range of bars, cafes and shops of very good quality and taste.other spellings: kremshotels, krems otel, krems hotell, krems hote, krem hotes
